A ceilidh is a traditional Scottish social event full of traditional folk music and a lot of dance. Because of that, ceilidh is a great place to meet new people while having great fun.
30th November is the feast day of Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland. This is when Scots celebrate their culture and traditions.
ESN UofG orginised St.Andrews Ceilidh Dance to celebrate St Andrew’s Day on Thursday, 28th November 2018 at the Record Factory. The event was, as promised, full of lively dance, loads of fun and it was a perfect way to de-stress before exams.
Moreover, all the profit from the ticket sales were donated to the Refugee Survival Trust, which is a charity based in Glasgow focused on social inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers.
Thanks to everyone who attended our last event of the semester. We hope to see you again next year!
